Designed for Students Seeking Top SCores

A One-of-a-Kind SAT Class for High-Achieving Students

The 1400+ SAT Class is an intensive 7-week course designed and taught by Michael Stroup. Most high-achieving students are bored in regular SAT class because the class moves too slowly. Not here! The 1400+ SAT Class is a fast-paced and rigorous course that focuses on the advanced topics that students need to master to achieve scores of 1400 and above on test day.

Our class is the first SAT Class to include On-Demand Online Courses and Full Test Explanations. In most classes, half of class time is spent reviewing homework and practice tests - and even all of that time still leaves most students with unanswered questions. To fix that problem, we have recorded individual video explanations for every single question assigned for homework and for 4 full practice SATs.

Students in the 1400+ SAT Class are given 6 months of full access to the Ultimate Digital SAT Course ($600 value), so students can review their mistakes before class begins.so our students can review their mistakes before class begins. This not only gives students a better experience (and better scores!) but also allows us to cover much more content than a traditional SAT course.

1. Proven Results

On average, students completing the class improve by 200 points! Most students score a 1400 or above after completing the class, and we have had many students score 1500, 1550, and even a perfect 1600!

2. 70+ Hours of Online Courses and Test Explanations

Most SAT Prep classes spend half of class time reviewing homework and practice tests - and even all that time leave most students with unanswered questions. We have recorded individual video explanations for every single question assigned for homework and for 4 full practice SATs, so students can review their mistakes before class begins. This not only gives students a more complete learning experience (and most importantly better scores!) but also allows us to cover much more content than a traditional SAT course.

As part of the course, students are given 6 months of access to the Ultimate Digital SAT Course (all of our online SAT Courses) that has over 70 hours of content ($600 value).

3. Efficient Classroom Time

During the 21 hours of live classroom instruction, Michael will cover everything that is featured on the SAT in the most efficient way possible. Top students have very busy schedules, so we make sure that every minute during our class is spent learning.

4. Recorded Lectures

All lectures are recorded and made available to students. Do you have a conflict and will miss a class? Or just want to watch the lecture again to study? Not a problem. You can access the lectures anytime during the course.

5. Practice, Practice, Practice

Students will complete 4 full practice SATs during the class. Practice tests are self-administered at home. In addition, students will be assigned 3-5 hours of homework each week on the topics covered during class. Students also have access to unlimited additional practice SATs.

6. Small Class Size

Our class has a maximum of 25 students. While other companies may allow over 40 students in a single class, we limit our class size to make sure students can participate and ask questions.

7. Best in Class Materials

We write all of our own materials. We do not do this because it is fun. We do this because we are committed to providing our students with the best prep SAT materials. All SAT prep materials are included in the class (with the exception of the PrepPros Complete Guide To Digital SAT Math, which is purchased separately).

Class Description

Class Description

The 1400+ SAT Course takes place over the course of 7 weeks. The class is taught in a classroom where students can attend in-person (if you are local to San Diego) or remotely. The teacher will be using an iPad to teach the content, which can be viewed live by students in the classroom on a monitor and via Zoom by students attending remotely. Both in-person and remote students can ask questions and get answers live during class. All lectures are recorded for any students who miss class due to a conflict or want to rewatch lectures as they prepare for test day.

Students take 4 practice SATs that take just over 2 hours each. In addition to the practice tests, students can expect 3-5 hours of assigned homework each week. Each course leads up to an official SAT Test Date, and we recommend that students take the SAT right after completing the course.

All SAT Prep materials will be provided to students as part of the class except for the PrepPros Complete Guide to Digital SAT Math, which is purchased separately.

 Frequently Asked Questions

Who Is This Class Best For?

This class is best for any student aiming for scores of 1400 and above on the SAT. Most students who enroll in this class score anywhere from 1200-1450 on their first practice SAT. Since this class is faster paced and more advanced, it is generally best for higher-achieving students who have higher GPAs, are enrolled in AP and honors courses, and thrive in a classroom environment.

For students scoring above 1450 on their practice SAT, this class can also be a great resource to push their scores even higher. This class covers everything on the SAT, and students have achieved 1500s, 1550s, and even a perfect 1600 after taking this course.

What Happens If A Student Misses A Class?

All lectures are recorded and made available to students shortly after each class, so any student who misses a week can watch the recorded lecture anytime before the next class to catch up.

How Does The Remote Classroom Work?

We use Zoom for the 1400+ SAT Class. The instructor and pages are visible, and the student has a copy of the book, SAT binder pages, or practice tests that we are working from. We share our screens and use iPads that we write directly on, so the student can see exactly what we are working on.

During class, students can ask questions anytime via a chat box. The instructor answers questions live during class.

How Do Practice Tests Work?

Practice tests are self-proctored at home.  We provide the practice tests along with scantron sheets and self-timing sheets.  We do not offer remote proctoring because, well, we believe it is completely unnecessary.  Our students are busy and scattered across the country and across the world.  We trust that they can self-time their practice tests at home.

Parents are welcome to act as the proctor for their student during these practice tests, but students most commonly will just time themselves. It is important to treat the practice tests as much like a real test as possible, so we encourage students to try to take the practice tests in a quiet environment without interruptions on a Saturday or Sunday morning just like the real SAT.

My Student Scored Below A 1200 On The SAT. Can He Or She Take The 1400+ SAT Class?

A student who scores lower than 1200 on a real or practice SAT can also benefit from this class as long as the student does well in a classroom environment and has strong study skills. We often recommend using additional PrepPros Courses, such as the Online Courses or Full Practice Test Explanations, for students find the pacing of the course difficult and need additional resources.

If you are unsure if you student is a good fit for the 1400+ SAT Class, please use the sign-up form below to ask us, and we can advise on what the best option will be for your student.

How Much Does The Average Student Improve By During The Class?

On average, students improve their composite SAT score by 150-200 points during the class. Some students improve by as many as 350 points while others improve 80-120 points. How much a student improves depends on their initial scores and how much time and effort he or she is dedicating to SAT Prep outside of class.

What Do You Use For SAT Prep Materials?

The best materials are critical to the best prep. We do not love anything else out there, so we write all of our own materials. For the Math tests, we use the book that we have written and published: PrepPros Complete Guide to Digital SAT Math. For Reading and Writing tests, we have our own custom-written SAT notebook that covers the content, strategies, and test-taking tips that students will need to learn for success on test day.

How Do We Get The SAT Prep Materials?

All materials will be mailed to your home before the first class with the exception of the PrepPros Complete Guide to Digital SAT Math Book, which must be purchased on Amazon. For students in the United States, there is no additional cost. For students outside of the United States, materials can be shipped for an additional fee or PDF versions of the materials can be provided.

How Do Students Use The Online Courses And Test Explanations?

Students are given a code to use to sign up for all of our Online Courses. Once they are signed up, students will have access to all of our Online SAT Courses for 6-months. You can learn more about our Online Courses and sign up for a free trial to see how it works here.

Do You Offer A Money-Back Guarantee?

No, we do not. We offer a first class guarantee. If you do not love the first class, we will refund your entire purchase with no questions asked.

Do You Offer A Guaranteed Score Increase?

No, we do not. As tutors, we provide the best prep possible, but we are only half of the team. We cannot control the variety of factors that can affect how a student performs on test day. How much was the student studying? How did they manage the pressure and stress of test day? Does the students suffer from testing anxiety? All of these factors can affect the scores.

Additionally, any test prep company offering a “money-back guarantee” is not really offering a guarantee. If you read the fine print, students must complete a very large number of practice tests and all homework assignments. Plus, your child needs to have already taken an official SAT before beginning the process. Want to sign up the 1400+ SAT Course, complete 300 pages of homework assignments, and take 15 practice tests just to qualify for a guarantee? Yeah, we did not think so.
